Platonic Man

Winter, 2006
Nathan Raymond

sex
wholly pure
as much
as i can assure you

flesh colored
network
if only you
could witness me

neanderthal
naked lengthy
standing against
the shore

folded neatly
padded blue jeans
and a brown leather belt

strictly

un-uttered

the dash of yellow

all the hands

on the floor

we’ve got

interpretations

only linguists

can dance to

count the days

between hills

and cold nights

only to have

nothing left

to wait for

but you
